Our Apache Junction optometrist also offers glasses, contact lenses, and pre- and post-operative care.
New Service Offered
We recently acquired a Zeiss Cirrus-HD 5000 Optical Coherence Tomographer (OCT). OCT instruments use lasers to scan specific structures of the eye. The result is similar to a ultrasound, only much more magnified and precise. This allows a highly detailed way of evaluating the layers of the macula, cornea, and optic nerve.
Along with the OCT, we continue to utilize our NIdek AFC-230 retinal camera to take high definition digital photos of the retina and optic nerve. When used together, retinal photos and OCT scans are invaluable in diagnosing and managing certain diseases that affect the retina and other structures in the eye. They are quick, painless, and require no extra eye drops.
We recommend that every patient have screening retinal photographs taken as part of regular comprehensive eye exams. OCT screening is also recommended for those with risk factors for certain diseases.
Dr. Moulton and the Image Eyecare team take even routine eye exams very seriously. During a yearly or bi-yearly examination, our Apache Junction patients will receive a patient history review, a series of vision and eye tests, assessments of eye focusing and movement, and an eye health evaluation. Our optometrist will discuss any additional testing that may be required to diagnose an eye disease or condition. Call us a today at 480-380-5116 to schedule an appointment.
